General University Scholarships are one-year awards made to University of Oregon students to recognize scholastic achievement, community involvement, extra-curricular activities and leadership.
Every aspect of the application is important. The Scholarship Committee considers many factors: academic performance, SAT I or ACT scores (freshmen), extracurricular involvement, faculty recommendation (continuing, transfer, graduate and law students), as well as writing ability and creativity as demonstrated in the career aspirations and scholarship essays.
